If you were lucky enough to cross paths with Clifton and feel the warmth of his smile from ear to ear or his great big hug full of love then you know he made everyone feel welcomed and loved; and his personality is now weaved into the fabric of Flatliner Transport.
Clifton Robinson began his trucking career in the early 80’s, a real roadrunner, he has accumulated endless miles in every province and state in North America! Through relentless work and dedication he founded Flatliner Transport in 2003. Through sheer will and supreme customer service Clifton quickly made a name for Flatliner Transport, garnering a clientele including Ford, Peerless, CH Robinson, XPO and many more. With over two decades in transportation, Flatliner has steadily improved its people resources, technology and equipment, and continues to offer quality service to its customers with a commitment to getting the job done, and done right. Now with a fleet of several trucks, equipped with GPS tracking to keep an eye on your shipments, Flatliner prides itself on making deliveries on time, with safety and communication as our absolute priority.
Clifton’s youngest son Brandon, comes in looking to bring a fresh young exuberance to the industry. He studied Sociology and graduated from the University of Ottawa in 2019. He was captain of the Ottawa U GeeGees basketball team where he developed key leadership skills and a deep understanding of the team concept. Fresh out of school he was able to take those talents and develop a dispatch company with his brother that was ranked in the top 1% out of 4000 companies in their group. Now with Flatliner, he runs the day to day operations putting systems in place which has enabled us to 5x our growth in a relatively short time since his debut. With lofty goals in mind, in only 2 years, he was able to grow their chassis fleet from 15 to 50, with goals of reaching 60 by 2023. This has allowed Flatliner to exponentially increase working capacity, giving our clients the premium service and peace of mind they deserve while their containers are being transported.
Clifton’s oldest son Jamie joins the team as a visionary, he has been a serial entrepreneur right out of Dawson College. Setting up businesses in the fields of dispatching, events, fashion and sales has enabled him to acquire many skills, the main one being his ability to be on the solution side of every issue. It doesn’t matter what situation a client is in, Flatliner will create a solution to ensure that your goods get to and from the Port and/or rails in Montreal on time and securely. With vast goals for the future and customer service in mind, he has plans to expand operations in order to provide services for all of our clients’ biggest issues.
Cliftons angel, his daughter Aiesha, is known in Montreal for her community work through Born to Rise, an organization that goes out into the community and teaches self love, self confidence and respect for others. She takes those same values and instills them in our culture at Flatliner. Aiesha has worked within the company for over 8 years showing up whenever called upon. Today you can find her handling paperwork, training new employees, dispatching trucks or managing the sales department. Aiesha can add the missing piece to the puzzle on any given day! With customer and driver appreciation as her main focus, Flatliner is always thinking of new and creative ways of showing our appreciation and gratitude for those we work with.
